Ethical Charter

I'm a strong believer in ethical game development, which means doing my best to not harm players in any way, especially the most vulnerable ones.
That's why I'm committing to never use predatory monetization practices or abusive game design dark patterns including, but not limited to : 

  • Microtransactions
  • Lootboxes and other gambling mechanics
  • Whale-based freemium models
  • Subscription models
  • Pay to Win and Pay to Skip models
  • Premium currencies
  • Premium currencies
  •  Artificial scarcity
  • Daily quests/rewards
  • Unnecessary grinding
  • Excessive reliance on dopamine release
  • Design meant to create addiction
  • Incentivization of toxic or anti-social behavior


Instead I'll engage in the following practices :

  • Transparency on price and sales, with regular sales planned and announced long in advance.
  • Capped discount percentage, never exceeding 40% and instead offering better deals by permanently reducing the base price to prevent Fear Of Missing Out.
  • Design that respects the player's time.
